UAE coffee community scene is such an amazing community with coffee events and competitions happening in all parts of the Emirates. It was the Cup Tasters Throwdown season hosted by Refill Roastery (27-8-2022) with so many coffee lovers and professionals competing, and yeah with UAE 3 cup tasters national champions also competing.
Training session with Mr. 5/5✔️ @noblebarista_dammy with an outstanding performance 🎭 unmasking 5 odds cups from 5 sets at the Refill Cup Taster Throwdown in 2min 5sec. Super proud of this result and making it to the semi final.
Proud of the results 🧘🏾♀️, the growth🌱, the energy⚡️, and the fire 🔥 he brought on stage. He did amazing despite all the odds… One good thing when you are open to take challenges or compete, it's always make you grow and get better at what you love doing, regardless of the competition outcome, which is why I always see every competition I attended like I'm a champion. To me it's a Win Win even when if I lose.
Cup taster competition is basically a sensory competition on how good you are or how good your palate is to distinguish from a set of 3 cups, which cup is the odd, while the remaining 2 cups are same... It's also a game of highest cup accuracy (correct cup) and shortest time to finish. Fun isn't it?
Going for a cup tasters competition, all you need is just a cupping spoon ( or just you) amazing right? No gadgets required, yeah that's true, however to really win this kind of competition, you need to undergo trainings like, sensory, diet, speed, discipline and mental control . So practice more and more on all aspect, not to be perfect but to keep improving.
